The idea is intriguing, but I have to read the text regularly to remind myself that Batman isn’t an outlaw. Because the angle chosen on Batman is from below, he comes off as a menacing figure. The water pistol is the main move, but because it’s cropped, it comes off as laser or high-tech weapon (that still kills).
I also don’t think of Batman as relying on a weapon to fight evil. What are some other non-outlaw public figures who have used guns for defense or for good? Should you appeal to Revolutionary War era thinking?
As a formal note, the type is incredibly unintegrated.
